By living at Mexico City and having no opportunity to attend to an animation school, Lila Martinez took the Graphic Design Degree from Universidad Iberoamericana.
Before !nishing school, she started working in order to save enough money to travel to Canada and study at the Vancouver Film School Classic Animation Program which she did few years after graduating from University. At VFS she was trained as a Classic 2D animator, specialized in key-framed character animation and released her !rst short !lm in traditional animation“Bubble Me” and later on “WILD” with a digital "ash animation technique.
When She returned to Mexico, she was hired by the Mexican Comedian Polo Polo for an online animation project managing the full production of the animated jokes. When the company run out of material she was hired by Santo Domingo Animation / Ithrax to work as a rough animator for “Brijes 3D” a traditional animation feature film.
In 2010 after working some freelance projects with Mariana Villegas they both formed the animation house called Phenomena Animation Studio, and been working in several projects since. In 2012 VFS offered Lila a scholarship to study the Advanced Digital Character Animation Program where she learned the software to perform CG Animation. Now she is back in Mexico working again with her animation house and waiting for the next adventure.
