The Dream Flash series is rooted in introspection and memory, and transcends representation. Each painting is an exploration of color, with an expansive canvas to draw the viewer in. Both chance and control are equally important in the paintings, as evidenced by the random chromatic events that occur even with intentional and skillful control of the fluid acrylics.
Bill Santelli's paintings and drawings have been featured in exhibitions in museums and galleries throughout the United States, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL; Austin Art Connections in Austin, TX; the Susquehanna Art Museum in Harrisburg, PA; Westwood Center for the Arts in Los Angeles, CA; and the Shore Institute for Contemporary Arts in Asbury Park, NJ.
