ARTIST STATEMENT

As both a conservationist and an artist I feel the need to translate what I have learned in the forest into artwork. I share my concerns of human consumption and global warming by showing how animals survive in spite of us. At what cost progress? Must we destroy the earth for the next hottest technology? Must we create martyrs for progress?

My collections of sculptures, paintings and etchings convey the animals view of where we are today and where we will be heading.

I am currently creating an installation called Elements. Fire, earth, water and air-all will be about animal survival in the 21st century.
